Frequently Asked Questions

Will you be accepting any insurance?

We've opted for cash-based services to empower patients and healthcare professionals to dictate rehabilitation needs without third-party influence. At this time, we're not accepting insurance, but you can request an invoice and visit documentation for potential reimbursement. Please note that ProMotion Physical Therapy Inc. cannot be held responsible for any reimbursement issues with your insurance provider.

What if I need more than 5 visits after completing my bundle?

You will have the opportunity to purchase up to 5 additional follow-up visits at the reduced rate of $119 each. Following the conclusion of your final follow-up visit, a re-evaluation will be essential to evaluate your progress and adjust the treatment plan as required. Consequently, we suggest selecting either a new visit bundle or an evaluation to sustain your ongoing care.

Why should I choose a cash-based physical therapy clinic?

Choosing a cash-based physical therapy clinic offers several distinct advantages for patients. Firstly, it provides greater flexibility and autonomy in the treatment process, as there are no insurance restrictions dictating the type or duration of care received. This means longer treatment sessions and more focused attention from the therapist, resulting in a more comprehensive and effective rehabilitation experience. Additionally, cash-based clinics often offer direct access to experienced therapists without the need for a physician referral, allowing patients to seek treatment promptly and without unnecessary delays. Furthermore, because these clinics operate outside the traditional insurance model, they can offer a wider range of services and treatment modalities tailored to the individual needs and goals of each patient. Ultimately, choosing a cash-based PT clinic empowers patients to take control of their health and well-being, ensuring they receive the personalized care and attention necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

Will you be accepting medicare?

In accordance with Medicare regulations and legislation, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate Medicare patients at present. Medicare regulations prohibit patients from receiving care and privately paying for services covered by Medicare. For further details, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

No, ProMotion Physical Therapy serves individuals from diverse backgrounds and activity levels. We are committed to providing personalized care tailored to meet each individual's unique needs and goals. Whether you're an athlete aiming to return to peak performance or someone seeking relief from everyday discomfort to enjoy simple activities pain-free, we're dedicated to helping you achieve your desired outcomes. Can I just purchase a virtual visit?

To ensure the effectiveness of virtual physical therapy sessions, it is imperative that all patients undergo a thorough in-person assessment before engaging in virtual visits. As such, we require all prospective patients to complete an initial evaluation before scheduling their first virtual session. This comprehensive assessment allows us to tailor our virtual sessions to your specific needs, ensuring that you receive the highest quality of care and support throughout your rehabilitation journey.

Do I need a referral from a Doctor?

Under the California direct access laws, patients are entitled to receive physical therapy treatment for up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits without requiring a signature from a medical professional. After this initial period, a signature and date on the physical therapist's plan of care are mandatory and must be provided by an individual licensed by either the Medical Board of California, the Osteopathic Medical Board of California, or by a licensed practitioner of podiatry.
